Fraser Alexander
Fraser has been a member of the Alumni Relations and Development team at the University of Auckland since 2006, where he leads the gifts in wills programme. Diagnosed with a retinal dystrophy in his teens and becoming a member of Blind Low Vision NZ in 1995, Fraser’s involvement with BLVNZ has included professional fundraising, volunteering and governance.
His background a bachelor’s degree in biosciences and a Postgraduate honours degree in business, 27 years’ experience in not-for-profit marketing, and a number of voluntary roles including: President of Retina New Zealand, member of the Retina International Management Committee, RNZFB Director, founding trustee of Sight Support Trust, director of Workbridge Foundation and Fellow of the Fundraising Institute of New Zealand.
Fraser offers patient perspectives that will help advance outcomes in eye health and vision care.
