Petition for Better Eye Health
Prevent Vision Loss
Sign our petition for better eye health
For World Sight Day 2022, Eye Health Aotearoa is promoting a National Tactile Art Competition to raise awareness of eye health, and to petition the government to fund a vital national eye health survey.
We're asking for the Government to fund the first ever National Eye Health Survey in New Zealand, to provide truly representative and current New Zealand population-based data on the prevalence and causes of vision impairment.

Will you help us improve eye health in Aotearoa?
Vision loss can have a devastating impact on people's lives. We know that the impact is felt not only for those experiencing vision loss, but also those who love and care about them.
Currently New Zealand has no formal data on the frequency or causes of vision loss and no comprehensive eye health strategies, policies or frameworks to plan for and measure progress in eye health and vision care.
We need to show the government that Eye Health matters to New Zealanders.
